“INDIANA SPRINT WEEK” FIELD IN LAWRENCEBURG!!!

--- Jeff Bland Jr. of Springville, Ind. led the first seven and the
last six laps to score an upset victory in Wednesday night’s
30-lap Chevy Powers “Indiana Sprint Week” feature at the
Lawrenceburg Speedway. The win was his first ever in USAC National
Sprint Car competition. He started on the pole but was running second
to Robert Ballou on lap 25 when Jon Stanbrough blew a tire on the
backstretch. During the yellow Ballou’s car developed a flat
tire and he had to restart at the back of the field, putting Bland
and his Servia Drywall/Servpro DRC/Chevy into the lead. He was trailed
to the checkered flag by Levi Jones, Damion Gardner, Shane Cottle
and Dave Darland. Chevy Powers “Indiana Sprint Week” continues
Thursday night with the “Robbie Stanley Classic” at Lawrenceburg.

FIFTH AT BLOOMINGTON, SIXTEENTH AT PARAGON...

--- Jeff Bland, Jr. and his #21s team invaded the Bloomington (IN)
Speedway and the Paragon (IN) Speedway over the June 20-21 weekend.
At Bloomington on Friday night, Jeff finished third in his heat race,
after starting ninth, and later rolled off from the inside of the
sixth row for the A-Main. The Bloomington native was able to pass
six cars at this hometown track en route to a solid fifth place performance.
The KISS Series was in action at Paragon on Saturday night and Jeff
once again finished third in his heat race to advance to the main
event. After starting eleventh in the A-Main, Jeff was up to fourth
before throttle issues forced him to pull into the pit area with four
laps remaining. He was relegated to a disappointing sixteenth place
effort at Paragon on Saturday due to the mechanical troubles. You
