WEEKEND FOR JEFF BLAND, JR.
June 29, 2009
--- Bloomington, Indiana driver Jeff Bland, Jr. competed in a trio
of events last weekend (June 26-28) in the states of Indiana and
Illinois. Behind the wheel of his own #38, Jeff set fast time, ran
second in his heat race, and finished eleventh in the $3,000 to
win 'Sheldon Kinser Memorial' on Friday at the nearby Bloomington
Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana. For the rest of the tripleheader
weekend, Jeff piloted the #10 car for the Truckers 24 Hour Road
Service team. He wound up thirteenth in the final rundown of the
$2,000 to win MSCS show on Saturday at the Vermilion County Speedway
in Danville, Illinois, while he finished a strong third in the 'Bob
Darland Memorial' on Sunday at the Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana.

FOR #38 TEAM!!!

--- Jeff Bland, Jr. and his #38 team traveled to a pair of Hoosier
State venues on Friday and Saturday, June 19-20. On Friday night
at the nearby Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana, Jeff
wound up second in his heat race despite slipping over the banking
early in the event. After drawing the third starting spot for the
A-Main, Jeff drove a great race and finished second in the final
rundown. On Saturday evening, the team attacked the Paragon Speedway
in Paragon, Indiana for a $2,500 to win KISS show. Jeff, who is
now both the driver and the crew chief, ran fourth in his heat race
and second in his B-Main to earn the seventeenth starting spot in
the A-Main. The Bloomington, Indiana native then hustled his #38
entry by eleven cars in the main event and was paid for sixth at
the pay window.
Jeff currently sits third in
the latest version of the KISS point standings despite missing a
series race earlier in the year. The Bland Racing, LLC team would
like to thank all of their dedicated crew members for their help
and support including Squirrel and Mike Malott. Their dedication
to the Bland Racing team is unsurpassed and very much appreciated!

TOP FIVES FOR BLAND HIGHLIGHT BUSY WEEK
June 15, 2009
--- The Bland Racing, LLC team had a very busy week from June 9-14,
as they entered a trio of Non-Wing Sprint events in Illinois and
Indiana. On Tuesday night, Jeff Bland, Jr. finished a strong fifth
in the $2,000 to win show at the Vermilion County Speedway in Danville,
Illinois. On Friday evening, the dirt-slinging action switched to
the nearby Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana. After winning
his heat race and starting seventh, Jeff once again notched a fifth
place performance in the A-Main.
A $3,000 to win MSCS event closed out the busy week
for the Bland Racing, LLC team on Sunday at the Terre Haute Action
Track in Terre Haute, Indiana. Jeff ran second in heat race action
and sported a great racecar in the A-Main, which turned out to last
nearly three hours after all of the cautions and red flag periods.
Even with a fuel stop in the 30-lap event, Jeff ran out of gas on
the final circuit while in the fourth position and coasted to the
checkers to record a fourteenth place finish.

JR. WINS IN THRILLING FASHION AT BLOOMINGTON!

8, 2009 --- Changing his number
back to #38 for the weekend to help change his luck, Jeff Bland,
Jr. reached victory lane for the second time in 2009 in thrilling
fashion on Friday night, June 5 at the nearby Bloomington Speedway
in Bloomington, Indiana! Jeff started at the tail end of his heat
race, but blasted through the field to earn a second place finish.
After redrawing a nine prior to the A-Main, Jeff sported a great
racecar throughout the main event. He found himself in the third
position on the final lap, but made a great pass coming off turn
four to record the heart stopping triumph!
On Saturday evening, June 6,
the action shifted to the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana.
The KISS and MSCS series converged on the southwestern Indiana speedplant
for a $3,000 to win event on Saturday. Jeff ran fourth in heat race
action and once again started ninth on the grid in the A-Main. He
was able to gain one position during the feature at Haubstadt to
earn an eighth place finish.
